What are Implants?

Dental implants are surgical fixtures that are placed in the jawbone to support a dental prosthesis such as a crown, bridge or denture.  Our dentists use world’s leading Straumann titanium implants which are long-lasting and fuse quickly to your jawbone.  The screw-like implant doesn’t cause any damage to your jawbone.

Why is it done?

We at Mumtaz Dental Center offer dental implants when:

  • You have one or more missing teeth
  • You want to enhance your aesthetic appearance
  • You want to improve your speech

How is it Done?

Fixing of implants usually takes 3 to 4 months and is a relatively painless procedure. Our experienced dental specialists offer you a painless and smooth experience with dental implants. If you are willing to get dental implants, our dental team will provide you a schedule for each visit. The first step is planning and involves complete examination of your mouth and face by our dental surgeon. The next step is designing and fixing of the implants with the help of CBCT, X-rays and computerized surgical guides to achieve precise placement of each implant.

Implant procedure are generally performed under local anesthesia. After placing the implant our dental specialist will provide you a schedule for your subsequent visits. The reason there is a gap between each visit is to allow the area of dental implant to heal and implant to fuse with the jawbone. Your next visit involves the fixing of the dental abutment where the dental prosthesis is fixed. Once the abutment is fixed, you may be given a time interval of about 2 weeks to allow the healing of gums.

The final stage which is after 3 months approximately involves the attachment of dental prosthesis with the help of resin cement. We assure you that the dental prosthesis will look and function the same as a natural tooth.
