Metal Braces

Metal braces are one of the most effective and commonly used treatment options available for misaligned teeth.  With advanced healthcare, this traditional method for teeth alignment no more remains uncomfortable for the recipient and thus you need not to worry about coming across any discomforting episodes. In this method, our orthodontists use brackets, metal wire, and molar tubes to align your teeth to their perfect position.  If your teeth are crooked, misplaced, overcrowded or have a noticeable gap, then metal braces might be the best treatment option for you.

How do they work?

The treatment starts with the careful evaluation of the condition of your teeth by our orthodontists followed by taking the scans of your teeth using 3Shape intra oral digital scanner.  The next step involves the bonding of brackets to your teeth by using dental composite.  A thin metal wire is then attached to these brackets. Our orthodontist will schedule your next appointments for the tightening of the metal wire.

After Care:

After getting the braces, you may experience some discomfort for a couple of days. To minimize it, our experts will thoroughly educate you. Some helpful tips include:

  • Avoid food items that aren’t brace-friendly: It’s highly recommended that you avoid certain food items that are sticky e-g caramel.  Chewy food can stick in between the braces resulting in cavities.  Also, avoid crunchy and hard food items that may potentially damaging to your braces.
  • Brush and floss properly: Proper cleaning of your teeth while wearing brace will prevent staining and formation of cavities.
  • Regular Check-ups: Regular visits to your orthodontist will help you with the adjustment and maintenance of the braces
